The Course

The UGA Stadium is Alive with the Sound of Music!

The half marathon begins near City Hall and continues with a parade through the lively and historic downtown Athens! The run continues through the historic Cobbham neighborhood with lots of music and many excited spectators! Leaving Cobbham, you'll turn onto Milledge Avenue, a street known for its signature Greek houses.

Follow the music down Milledge all the way to Five Points, where spectators flock as they drink their morning coffee watching runners head into the wooded and picturesque Memorial Park and Bear Hollow Zoo. The 10k point is marked by the famous "Pumpkin Patch Church," which is gorgeous in the crisp fall.

Then continue down Milledge, past the UGA Golf Course and pecan grove, and enjoy the final 4 miles through UGA's beautiful autumn-time campus. Take your victory lap inside the iconic Sanford Stadium, home of the Dawgs, and dance your way across the finish line!

The finish line celebration will take place in the Tate Center West Lawn just a few hundred feet past the finish line. Volunteers and directional signs will be on hand to guide runners and their families to the West Lawn.
