Event Details

Since its inaugural year in the fall of 2010 — during what is usually one of Georgia’s mildest and most pleasant-weather months — the AthHalf winds runners through the historic and scenic city of Athens. The course also runs past major city landmarks, through the University of Georgia’s Sanford Stadium and ends on the UGA college campus. This year’s runners will enjoy a faster, more vibrant course, with shots at a new PR and the support of rabid fans and live music.

Race Weather & Climate
Located in the historic college town, the City of Athens sees mild to moderately cool weather conditions in the fall, which follows what are usually very hot and humid summers. In October, average monthly temperatures range between 76°F and 50°F, while rainfall totals average around 3.2 inches for the month.
