Bring your friends and family to enjoy this family-friendly run! A 5K is a great event to involve the whole family.

The 5K takes place on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 2:30 PM. The start line for the 5K is on Foundry Street right in front of The Classic Center Pavilion, which is where we’ll also be holding the AthHalf Health and Fitness Expo on Saturday. Oct. 22nd. The course makes a loop and runners will enjoy a run through downtown, Athens’ historic Boulevard neighborhood, and down Prince Avenue before finishing back in front of The Classic Center Pavilion.

Register online to get the t-shirt size you want, or you can register in-person at the Health and Fitness Expo on Saturday, Oct. 22nd between 12 pm – 2 pm.

Time Limit

The 5K has a one-hour time limit. All runners must be able to complete the course within an hour.

Runner Support

Runners will be supported with a water station at approximately 1.5 miles into the course, cheering fans, and bathrooms can be found near the finish line inside The Classic Center. There will be no first aid on the course.

Weather

The AthHalf 5K is scheduled during prime fall weather! In October, average monthly temperatures range between 50 degrees and 76 degrees, while rainfall totals average around just 3.2 inches for the month.

Family Involvement

While no pets will be allowed on the course for the safety of all runners, strollers will be allowed on the 5K course.
